A country house located an hour away from the city. A space to relax and connect with nature.
The singularity of the project is the clients, my parents. As I am familiar with their lifestyle and desires, I had the freedom to create a proposal that suited and complemented their way of inhabiting every space in the house.
The building is used year-round so creating sunny, wind-protected living was a key driver to the design brief, especially considering that time spent outdoors is really important in my family. The idea of the project is to integrate the outdoors and natural lighting into the house.
An open space floor plan to create flexible-big gathering areas, in which private and public spaces are well divided to maintain intimacy.
Clean lines and white color dominates in the outer finish and interiors of the house, so the rooms are flooded with natural light even on gloomy overcast days; and sustainable principles used to make the house more energy-efficient.
